The 12th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum was held in Xinjiang.

  The 12th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum, themed "Promoting the 'China-Central Asia Spirit' and Advancing Common Modernization," opened in Urumqi on June 6th. Nearly 300 Chinese and foreign guests attended the forum, sharing development experiences and seeking cooperation opportunities.

  Kyrgyz Deputy Prime Minister Bakty Torobayev, in his opening address, stated that in recent years, relations between Kyrgyzstan and China have made significant progress, with fruitful economic and trade cooperation. Kyrgyzstan is willing to deepen cooperation with China in areas such as connectivity, energy, finance, the digital economy, and agriculture.

  Tajikistan Deputy Prime Minister Dilrabo Mansouri stated that Tajikistan is willing to continue to advance cooperation with China in areas such as strengthening food security and jointly addressing security threats.

  Rahim Khakimov, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Supreme Assembly of Uzbekistan, stated that relations between Uzbekistan and China have shown unprecedented vitality in recent years. Uzbekistan is willing to continue to deepen cooperation with China in areas such as trade, culture, logistics, and science and technology.

  The forum reached a series of cooperation consensuses and released the "Initiative of the 12th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum (Urumqi)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Initiative"). The Initiative proposes that all parties will jointly safeguard regional peace and stability, deepen pragmatic cooperation in various fields, and, guided by the "China-Central Asia Spirit," promote the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative, and work together to build a closer China-Central Asia community with a shared future.

  The forum announced a list of 13 cooperation outcomes covering areas such as trade and economy, agriculture, digital economy, logistics, education, and science and technology. In addition, four parallel sub-forums on trade and economy, education, poverty reduction, and women's issues were held, with government officials, experts, scholars, and business representatives from China and the five Central Asian countries participating in the discussions.

  This forum was co-hosted by the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Committee on Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation and the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and saw the largest number of foreign guests in its history. (End)
