Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On November 3, a China-ASEAN seminar on "National Governance and Asian Civilization" was held in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Representatives from central and state organs, relevant departments of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, experts and scholars from Party schools (administrative colleges), think tanks, research institutions, and universities, as well as approximately 100 dignitaries, government officials, representatives from administrative colleges, think tanks, and research institutions from ASEAN countries participated in the seminar.
During the keynote speeches at the opening ceremony, the foreign guests highly praised China's active contributions of wisdom and strength to national, regional, and global governance. They stated that this seminar was a powerful measure to implement the outcomes of the China-ASEAN Leaders' Meeting, promote the construction of the China-ASEAN administrative college and think tank cooperation network, and deepen learning exchanges and training cooperation between China and ASEAN countries in areas such as governance. It provided broad ideological consensus and strong intellectual support for building a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future.
The symposium also included four parallel sessions on the themes of “National Governance and Asian Societies”, “The Digital Age and the Construction of National Governance Effectiveness”, “Regional Opening-up and Cooperation and Sustainable Development”, and “Global Governance, Regional Governance and the Asian Approach”. Chinese and foreign guests discussed and exchanged views on issues such as further promoting the modernization of governance systems and capabilities in Asian societies, empowering national governance with digital technology, building a higher-level regional cooperation framework between China and ASEAN, and enhancing Asian civilization awareness.
