Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) From December 2025 to January 15, 2026, Guangdong Province launched 54 intercity internet passenger transport routes. Since January 15, 2026, another 27 routes have been added, and 14 more special return-home routes will be added before the Spring Festival travel rush, covering popular travel destinations in the Pearl River Delta and eastern, western, and northern Guangdong. These new routes break through the limitations of traditional passenger transport, enabling direct "point-to-point" connections between communities, industrial parks, universities, and core cities, linking the flow of people, goods, and information within the Greater Bay Area city cluster, becoming an "accelerator" for integrated urban development.

With airlines gradually transferring operations from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, "long terminal transfers and difficult intercity connections" have become new problems for passengers. In response, Guangdong has specifically launched multiple internet passenger airport special lines, constructing an air-land intermodal transport network of "terminal interconnection + direct intercity connections." The Terminal 3 (T3) stop is located directly at Gate 62 on the departure level, adjacent to the check-in area, allowing passengers to quickly transfer after disembarking.

Currently, the airport shuttle bus service has been extended to cities in the Greater Bay Area such as Dongguan, Zhongshan, and Jiangmen, as well as eastern and western Guangdong regions like Zhaoqing, Huizhou, and Qingyuan, achieving seamless connections between the airport and cities. Meanwhile, free shuttle buses operate 24 hours a day between Terminals 1, 2, and 3, running every 10 minutes during the day, with an average of approximately 180 trips per day, resolving transfer difficulties during transition periods.

In response to the tight railway ticket supply during the Spring Festival travel rush, Guangdong Province has allocated transportation capacity, guiding platforms such as Cheying.com, Didi Station Bus, and Yangyang Bus to supplement passenger transport. The 14 newly added Spring Festival special lines focus on popular routes from the Pearl River Delta to various counties, achieving direct access from counties to the Pearl River Delta, eliminating detours on the journey home.

For example, "Qiaodu Travel" recently launched several direct intercity routes, covering Jiangmen, Xinhui, and Taishan to and from core cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area such as Guangzhou and Shenzhen, providing convenience for citizens' cross-city travel. Didi's long-distance e-commerce platform has launched multiple cross-city routes, covering Guangzhou, Qingyuan, Zhuhai, Shenzhen, and other cities in and around the Greater Bay Area. By connecting various subway stations, bus hubs, shopping districts, schools, and passenger transport stations, it provides citizens with more convenient long-distance travel options.

Citizens can purchase tickets and check schedules in real time with a single click through WeChat mini-programs and apps, eliminating the need to queue for tickets and allowing direct entry with a QR code. Dedicated lines from Shenzhen to Foshan cover multiple subway stations, while routes from Jiangmen to Guangzhou connect multiple township stations. These precisely targeted arrangements allow migrant workers, students, and others to easily embark on their journeys home.

Guangdong will continue to optimize the layout of cross-city internet passenger transport routes, allowing the benefits of convenient travel to reach more people. (End)
