Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – According to a report by the Cambodian Cashew Association (CAC), Cambodia has risen to become the world's second-largest cashew producer, with a total output of 830,000 tons in the first seven months of this year.

The report indicates that Cambodia's cashew exports to Vietnam have increased significantly, reaching over 780,000 tons, valued at US$1.092 billion, representing increases of 36.7% and 28.1% respectively compared to last year.

Uon Silot, President of the Cambodian Cashew Association, stated that this growth is not accidental; since May, cashew production has increased significantly, and the planted area has also expanded.

It is worth noting that Côte d'Ivoire is the world's largest cashew producer, and Cambodia has surpassed India to become the second-largest. Due to the impact of climate change, India's production has fallen to third place.

Uon Silot emphasized that these figures are significant and will help attract more foreign investors. He stated, "When people think of cashews, they should first think of Cambodian cashews."
