Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) On April 10, 2026, a shipment of two containers containing approximately 14,000 fresh durians successfully completed customs clearance at the Friendship International Border Gate in Lang Son Province, Vietnam, and set off for export to China. This batch of durians originated from a dedicated raw material planting area in Bao Loc Ward, Lam Dong Province, Vietnam. It is the first batch of durian products exported from Vietnam through the "Green Channel" process, relying on a full-chain traceability system. This marks the beginning of a modern, transparent, and fully digitalized management model for Vietnamese agricultural products, fully meeting the stringent standards of the international market.

Compared to traditional export procedures, the "Green Channel" mechanism optimizes the entire chain: starting with soil sampling and testing in the plantation, it implements closed-loop inspection throughout the entire process of fresh fruit harvesting and processing; traceability labels are affixed to the fruit trees, and each fruit is coded simultaneously after harvesting; furthermore, key steps such as phytosanitary inspection and certificate of origin (C/O) issuance are completed at the planting site. These innovative measures not only maximize the preservation of the fruit's flavor and ensure its freshness, but also significantly shorten customs clearance time at ports, effectively mitigating the risk of cargo congestion.

Lieutenant Colonel Do Fei Long, Director of the Anti-counterfeiting Labels and Materials Center of the Security Industry Department of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, explained that each durian in this batch was affixed with a traceability QR code anti-counterfeiting label developed and provided by the center, essentially equipping each fruit with an "electronic ID card." By scanning the code, all parties can query key information throughout the entire chain, including the planting area, harvesting traceability, labeling process, and subsequent packaging, achieving full traceability and verification of product information.

A representative from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment stated that the harvesting of this batch of durians was carried out in a standardized manner under the dual supervision of the competent authorities and relevant enterprises. The traceability labels were affixed on-site in the orchard, ensuring the authenticity and accuracy of the traceability information from the source. Nguyen Quang Tin, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, emphasized, “The traceability system is not only a technical requirement for importing countries, but also a quality commitment and guarantee of credibility for Vietnamese agricultural products going global. The successful application of this ‘green channel’ model will lay an important foundation for building a transparent, responsible, and sustainable modern agricultural system.”

It is understood that this batch of fresh durians is expected to arrive in Pingxiang City, China on April 11, 2026. From fruit harvesting to truck clearance at the port, the entire process will take only 6 days, a significant reduction compared to the traditional export model (which typically takes 8 to 11 days, and sometimes longer), resulting in a qualitative improvement in logistics efficiency.
