Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) With the Spring Festival approaching, the Huagong Science and Technology Intelligent Manufacturing Future Industrial Park in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone remains brightly lit. To ensure the timely delivery of China's first GW-level automated alkaline electrolyzer production line exported overseas, engineers have given up their holidays to remain at their posts, focusing on final fine-tuning and accelerating the export of "Made in China" products.
"Currently, the main manufacturing is complete, and we are in the final 'check-up' and 'break-in' phase," said 24-year-old production engineer Lü Jinpeng, a member of the "stay-at-home team." Speaking of the significance of their dedication, his eyes were firm: "Seeing China's hydrogen energy equipment production line go global and contribute to the development of green hydrogen worldwide, staying here this Spring Festival is worthwhile!"
The production line Lü Jinpeng mentioned is not only China's largest and most automated GW-level alkaline electrolyzer production line exported overseas, but also carries the important mission of "going global" for high-end hydrogen energy equipment. According to reports, after the production line goes into operation, it can produce hydrogen on a large scale using renewable energy sources such as photovoltaics and wind power, with an annual hydrogen production capacity of over 40,000 tons. This is sufficient to meet the annual operating needs of over 10,000 fuel cell medium-sized trucks, providing strong support for the global energy transition.
Hydrogen energy is a core component of the future energy system and a key track for cultivating new productive forces. High-end hydrogen energy equipment is the "core secret" of this track. "This production line is essentially a large-scale, high-efficiency intelligent factory assembly line for producing 'hydrogen production equipment,' and it is the fundamental guarantee for the implementation of the green hydrogen industry," explained Li Wei, Director of the Hydrogen Energy Industry at HGLaser. Based on decades of technological accumulation in laser welding, cutting, and other fields, HGLaser has been deeply involved in the intelligent manufacturing of hydrogen energy equipment in recent years, building equipment supply capabilities covering key links in "production, storage, transportation, and utilization." Its overseas orders span multiple regions including South Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
Unlike previous single equipment exports, this production line, soon to be shipped overseas, packages a complete solution of "intelligent equipment - automated production line - smart factory," providing customers with a one-stop "turnkey" service. “We are exporting not only advanced hardware, but also Chinese wisdom and standards encompassing process packages, digital management systems, and full lifecycle services, achieving a leapfrog upgrade from ‘selling equipment’ to ‘selling production lines’,” Li Wei emphasized. This means customers will gain a complete set of industrial mother machines and standard systems for the sustainable replication of advanced manufacturing capabilities, showcasing the full-chain competitiveness of China’s hydrogen energy equipment.
“Currently, Chinese hydrogen energy equipment is collectively accelerating its overseas expansion. The export of this production line marks a significant breakthrough for Hubei’s hydrogen energy industry in the upstream high-end equipment manufacturing sector, which will significantly enhance China’s international influence in the manufacturing of key hydrogen energy equipment,” commented Yang Ming, professor at the School of New Energy, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), and deputy director of the Hubei Provincial Hydrogen Energy Technology Innovation Center. In his view, Hubei’s hydrogen energy industry has already established advantages in the midstream and downstream segments such as hydrogen storage and transportation, and fuel cells. This extension to upstream high-end hydrogen production manufacturing will further improve the industrial ecosystem and form complementary advantages across the entire chain. (End)
