
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On January 20th, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) successfully held the “Expanding Seminar: Creating Global Business Opportunities through Hong Kong” in Phnom Penh. The event aimed to showcase Hong Kong's advantages as an international business hub to the Cambodian business community and promote the upgrading of bilateral economic and trade relations. Government representatives, industry leaders, and business elites from both sides gathered to exchange and discuss topics such as trade and investment, and market access.

In his address, Leung Kwan-ho, Chief Representative of the HKTDC for Southeast Asia and South Asia, stated that the HKTDC is committed to building a two-way trade bridge between Cambodia and Hong Kong. He announced the establishment of an advisory office in Phnom Penh to strengthen local service support and encouraged Cambodian enterprises to leverage the Hong Kong platform to reach global markets.
Duke Kun Tingda, Vice Chairman of the Cambodian Noblemen's Association, affirmed the HKTDC's global service capabilities and the bridging role of the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, emphasizing that the Memorandum of Understanding signed that day marks a new stage in cooperation among all parties and consolidates a consensus on building a pragmatic and win-win partnership.

At the event, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) signed Memoranda of Understanding with the Cambodian Noble Association and the Cambodian Gem and Jewelry Traders Association, while the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia signed a cooperation agreement with the Cambodian Noble Association. According to the agreements, the parties will deepen cooperation in areas such as business matching, trade promotion, and information sharing, helping Cambodian enterprises connect with international resources and Hong Kong enterprises expand into the Cambodian market.
This event provided a platform for exchange between Cambodian and Hong Kong enterprises, further deepening the close ties between the two places in multiple fields and promoting a lasting and mutually beneficial partnership.
