Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade recently issued Notification No. 146/BCT-XTTM, officially announcing the organizational plan for the "2026 National Spring Trade Fair." This notification follows the National Trade Fair Steering Committee meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son on January 8th.

According to the notification, this year's National Spring Trade Fair will be held on a national scale, bringing together ministries, local governments, industry associations, and enterprises nationwide. The event is scheduled to take place from February 2nd to 8th, 2026, at the Dong Anh Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC) in Hanoi, lasting seven days, with daily opening hours from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

During the fair, in addition to the core product displays, a series of rich activities will be held concurrently, including trade matchmaking, trade promotion, cultural performances, promotion of Lunar New Year products, and traditional space experiences. This trade fair will utilize the entire Golden Turtle Exhibition Area, with 10 exhibition halls, each approximately 10,000 square meters in size, accommodating about 3,000 standard booths, providing ample display space for exhibitors. The event, themed "Connecting Prosperity – Welcoming the New Year," aims to create an exhibition platform that showcases Vietnamese culture while leveraging the peak consumption season at the beginning of the year to fully utilize the synergistic effects of trade, industry, and tourism.

As the opening event of a series of trade, cultural, and consumption activities during the Lunar New Year of the Horse (2016), the 2026 National Spring Trade Fair, with its large-scale organization, scientific zoning, clear support mechanisms, and broad participation from various ministries, local governments, and businesses, is expected to create a vibrant trade atmosphere, comprehensively showcasing the spirit of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year and strongly boosting domestic consumption at the start of the new year.

It is worth mentioning that this trade fair is not only a platform for trade exchange but also an important vehicle for disseminating cultural values, connecting different regions, and promoting the unique characteristics of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year. By integrating diverse elements such as exhibitions, performances, art, and cuisine, the fair will be a major highlight of the Year of the Horse, injecting strong momentum into strengthening business connections and fully demonstrating the Ministry of Industry and Trade's proactive role in fulfilling its national trade promotion function.
