Southeast Lake Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – Manzhouli Customs announced on the 20th that two trucks carrying 41.76 tons of Russian oats and buckwheat successfully entered China through the Manzhouli land port that day. This marks a breakthrough for the port in importing Russian agricultural products, adding a crucial new channel for the China-Russia "New Land Grain Corridor" project.
Russia, as one of the world's major agricultural exporters, is known as the "world's granary." The imported oats and buckwheat strictly adhered to international phytosanitary standards throughout the entire process, ensuring safety and controllability "from field to port." This not only safeguards the safety of agricultural products in the Chinese domestic market but also provides Chinese consumers with a selection of high-quality imported agricultural products.
This grain import is the first batch of grain transport vehicles to arrive since the official operation of the designated grain supervision area of Manzhouli Land Port International Logistics Co., Ltd. The designated grain inspection site covers 27,707 square meters and has an annual throughput capacity of 200,000 tons. It is equipped with a professional grain inspection area, dedicated warehouses, and a full set of grain inspection and quarantine facilities, providing hardware support for large-scale agricultural product imports.
Liu Lei, Director of the Manzhouli Shibalipu Customs, said, "Food security is a matter of paramount importance to the nation. The commissioning of the designated grain inspection site will ensure the imported grain needs of the grain and oil processing and livestock industries in Manzhouli and surrounding areas."
The Manzhouli Port has fully implemented facilitation measures such as 24/7 appointment-based customs clearance, contributing to the upgrading of the "China-Russia New Land Grain Corridor Project." (End)
