Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The "Buy in China (Guangxi Station)" and Guangxi Silk Road E-commerce Carnival are currently being held in Nanning, Guangxi. Several ASEAN ambassadors to China stated that Guangxi is a frontier and window for China's opening-up and cooperation with ASEAN, and they hope to expand trade with China through multi-field cooperation with Guangxi.
Vietnamese Ambassador to China, Pham Thanh Binh, delivered a video address at the event's opening ceremony on the 19th. He said that Vietnam will further strengthen cooperation with Guangxi in various fields, continue to accelerate the interconnection of transportation infrastructure with Guangxi, and expand the export of Vietnamese fruits and other agricultural products to China through Guangxi channels.
"ASEAN produces, Guangxi distributes, and China sells well," said Pham Thanh Binh. He emphasized the importance of promoting the construction of the Lang Son-Hanoi and Mong Cai-Ha Long-Haiphong standard-gauge railways; accelerating the construction of smart ports and cross-border economic cooperation zones; and further improving mechanisms to create favorable conditions for the sustainable development of cross-border e-commerce.
The event also featured promotional videos from ambassadors to China from the 11 ASEAN countries. In a video message, Fan Qingping stated that Vietnam and China should leverage the advantages of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0 to further improve customs clearance facilitation, optimize transportation costs, and facilitate increased trade and investment.
Singapore's Ambassador to China, Chen Haiquan, stated that the International Land-Sea Trade Corridor has become an efficient and feasible trade route, connecting Southeast Asia with western China and radiating to a wider area. Singapore will continue to strengthen close cooperation with Guangxi to explore new avenues for regional trade and investment.
"One in three durians from Thailand enters the Chinese market through Guangxi. Both sides should strengthen cooperation in the digital economy and e-commerce," said Binjama Tavitayanon, Consul General of the Royal Thai Consulate General in Nanning.
The event was divided into six sections, showcasing distinctive products from China and ASEAN countries through diverse performances and creative displays. It also included an ASEAN product selection and business matchmaking meeting and a China (Guangxi)-ASEAN Online New Year's Goods Festival, helping high-quality ASEAN products expand their sales in China through Guangxi's e-commerce channels.
