Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The first Hubei (Ezhou) Cross-border E-commerce Investment and Product Selection Matching Conference, jointly hosted by the Hubei Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Ezhou Municipal People's Government, opened in Ezhou on the 5th. Several leading cross-border e-commerce platforms, as well as logistics, finance, and overseas warehousing service companies, participated in the conference.

Reporters learned at the conference that Hubei's cross-border e-commerce development is showing strong momentum, with more than 20 cross-border e-commerce industrial belts already formed. In the first half of this year, Hubei's cross-border e-commerce import and export volume reached 60 billion yuan (RMB), a fourfold increase year-on-year.

Thanks to Ezhou Huahu International Airport, Asia's first professional cargo airport, Ezhou's foreign trade development has achieved leapfrog growth. In the first three quarters of this year, the city's foreign trade import and export volume reached 34.13 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 447%, of which exports reached 31.29 billion yuan, an increase of 706.5%; cross-border e-commerce import and export volume accounted for nearly 80% of the city's total foreign trade.

Hu Zhonghai, Director of the Hubei Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade, stated that Hubei regards the development of cross-border e-commerce as an important breakthrough for innovative development of foreign trade, and has introduced a series of supporting policies to actively build a highland for cross-border e-commerce development in central China. Ezhou Huahu International Airport provides cross-border e-commerce with a lightning-fast "same-day or next-day delivery" logistics experience, giving Hubei products "steel wings" to go global and promoting Hubei and even central China's connection to the global market.

Currently, Ezhou Huahu International Airport has opened 111 cargo routes, connecting with more than 170 countries and regions. Leveraging this advantage, Ezhou is making every effort to build a complete cross-border e-commerce industry chain ecosystem. Since its establishment in April this year, the China (Ezhou) Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone has built a live-streaming base, as well as centers for product selection, seller incubation, cross-border trade, supply chain, warehousing, and entrepreneurship. Its cross-border e-commerce industrial park has attracted 258 companies to sign agreements to settle in.

This event also showcased nearly 30 categories and over 400 products produced in Hubei, including industrial products, clothing, and toys, helping Hubei's characteristic industries achieve precise connections with the global market; it also brought together high-quality global goods imported through Ezhou Huahu International Airport, such as Southeast Asian durian, South American wine, and African coffee beans, which will enter the Chinese market through e-commerce platforms.
