Vietnam aims to reach nearly US$70 billion in agricultural, forestry, and fishery product exports by 2025.

  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On December 4, 2025, at the November 2025 regular press conference, Phung Duc Tien, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment of Vietnam, stated that the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment will simultaneously and effectively implement various policies and plans to firmly achieve the goal of 4% industry growth and an export value of US$65 billion for agricultural, forestry, and fishery products, striving to reach nearly US$70 billion by 2025.

  Phung Duc Tien stated that to achieve these goals, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment will focus on improving the systems, mechanisms, and policies serving industry growth and agricultural, forestry, and fishery product exports, simultaneously and effectively implementing various resolutions, strategies, plans, programs, and industry development plans, vigorously promoting structural restructuring combined with ecological agriculture, green economy, circular economy, and climate change adaptation, improving the productivity, quality, added value, and production and management efficiency of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products, and ensuring food security, water resource security, and ecological security.

  The agricultural sector supports local governments in organizing and operating at both the municipal and district levels, vigorously promoting administrative reforms, breaking down institutional, policy, and procedural barriers related to digital transformation, and reviewing, reducing, and simplifying administrative approval processes, particularly in the environmental, land, and mineral sectors.

  The sector strengthens digital transformation, achieving breakthroughs in application, technology transfer, and innovation, and vigorously promotes the application of science and technology and digital technologies in agricultural, forestry, and fishery production and processing. This promotes domestic market and export development.

  In November 2025, Vietnam's agricultural, forestry, and fishery product exports are projected to reach US$5.8 billion, a decrease of 3.7% month-on-month but an increase of 8.4% year-on-year. For the first 11 months of 2025, cumulative agricultural, forestry, and fishery product exports are projected to reach US$64.01 billion, an increase of 12.6% year-on-year.

  Among them, agricultural product exports reached US$34.24 billion, an increase of 15%; livestock product exports reached US$567 million, an increase of 16.8%; aquatic product exports reached US$10.38 billion, an increase of 13.2%; forestry product exports reached US$16.61 billion, an increase of 5.9%; means of production exports reached US$2.2 billion, an increase of 29.9%; and salt exports reached US$11 million, an increase of 93.1%, etc. (End)
