Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Panzhou-Xingyi High-Speed Railway (hereinafter referred to as the Panxing High-Speed Railway) in Guizhou Province opened to traffic on the 28th, with 7 pairs of high-speed trains running daily. The fastest travel time from Xingyi South Station to Panzhou Station and Guiyang North Station is 33 minutes and 1 hour and 56 minutes respectively, which will strongly promote the development of tourism resources along the line and facilitate high-quality regional economic and social development. The opening of the Panxing High-Speed Railway makes Guizhou the first province in Southwest China to achieve full high-speed rail coverage of its city (prefecture) central cities.
The Panxing High-Speed Railway is located in southwestern Guizhou Province. The line starts from Panzhou Station in Panzhou City, Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province, and ends at Xingyi South Station in Xingyi City, Qianxinan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. The line is 99 kilometers long and designed for a speed of 250 kilometers per hour. There are three stations along the line: Panzhou, Baotian, and Xingyi South. Baotian and Xingyi South are newly built stations, while Panzhou Station is a renovated and expanded station.
The Panxing High-Speed Railway traverses karst areas, with complex geological conditions along the route, making construction extremely difficult. Since construction began in July 2020, the China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. has organized all participating units to integrate the concept of green development throughout the entire process of railway planning, design, and construction. They have intensified scientific research efforts, strengthened safety, quality, and environmental control, and promoted high-quality and efficient project construction. Bridge projects such as the Xiangshui Town Grand Bridge and tunnel projects such as the Tuole Tunnel have been completed, ensuring the project's timely completion.
Before the project opened for operation, the railway department meticulously organized relevant units to strictly implement various regulations and standards. Joint commissioning, testing, acceptance, and safety assessments were conducted on all professional equipment of the Panxing High-Speed Railway. Comprehensive optimization and adjustments were made to track conditions, pantograph-catenary performance, train control, and communication signaling systems. Currently, the line meets the requirements for safe and stable high-speed rail operation and is ready for operation.
After completion and opening, the Panxing High-Speed Railway will operate at a maximum speed of 250 km/h. In the initial stage of operation, seven pairs of EMU trains will run daily, all of which are cross-line EMU trains. The fastest travel times from Guiyang North, Tongren, Chongqing West, and Chengdu South stations to Xingyi South station are 2 hours and 1 minute, 3 hours and 54 minutes, 4 hours and 29 minutes, and 6 hours and 26 minutes, respectively. To meet the diverse travel needs of passengers, the railway department has implemented a flexible discount and differentiated market-based pricing mechanism on the Panxing High-Speed Railway, providing passengers with more travel options. Specific ticket prices can be found through the railway 12306 website.
The Panxing High-Speed Railway connects to the Shanghai-Kunming High-Speed Railway at Panzhou Station, thus entering the national high-speed rail network. Passing through tourist attractions such as Wanfenglin, the railway will bring high-speed rail service to Xingyi City after its opening, making travel more convenient and efficient for residents along the line. This will be of great significance in promoting the development of tourism resources along the route and fostering high-quality regional economic development. (End)
