Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Panzhou-Xingyi High-Speed Railway (hereinafter referred to as the Panxing High-Speed Railway) in Guizhou Province opened to traffic on the 28th. The opening of the Panxing High-Speed Railway makes Guizhou the first province in Southwest China to achieve full high-speed rail coverage of its city (prefecture) central cities.
The Panxing High-Speed Railway is located in southwestern Guizhou Province. The line starts from Panzhou Station in Panzhou City, Liupanshui City, and ends at Xingyi South Station in Xingyi City, Qianxinan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. The line is 99 kilometers long and designed for a speed of 250 kilometers per hour. There are three stations along the line: Panzhou, Baotian, and Xingyi South. Baotian and Xingyi South are newly built stations, while Panzhou Station is a renovated and expanded station.
The Panxing High-Speed Railway traverses a complex terrain known as a "geological museum," with a bridge and tunnel ratio of nearly 91%, setting a record for high-speed rail construction in Guizhou.
In the initial stage of operation, the Panxing High-Speed Railway will operate 7 pairs of EMU trains daily, all of which are cross-line EMU trains. The fastest journey times from Guiyang North, Tongren, Chongqing West, and Chengdu South stations to Xingyi South station are 2 hours and 1 minute, 3 hours and 54 minutes, 4 hours and 29 minutes, and 6 hours and 26 minutes respectively.
