Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) November 21st – The 2025 Zhejiang Agricultural Expo (hereinafter referred to as the "Zhejiang Agricultural Expo") opened in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. The event brings together over 3,500 enterprises and more than 40,000 kinds of products. During the expo, over 10 million yuan in consumer vouchers will be distributed to benefit the public.
The theme of this year's Zhejiang Agricultural Expo is "Vigorously Developing Local Specialties and Enjoying a New Life of Common Prosperity." It emphasizes the combination of online and offline activities to better support rural revitalization, urban-rural integration, and common prosperity. On the opening day, the venue was bustling with people, and the exhibits were dazzling.
Entering the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Marine Economic Development's pavilion, models of freshly cut tuna, tuna purse seine vessels, squid fishing boats, and cold chain transport ships attracted a lot of attention.
Zhang Ziyin, a staff member of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Marine Economic Development, explained that tuna swim constantly throughout their lives and are rich in hemoglobin. As a major province for deep-sea fishing, Zhejiang has formed a complete industrial chain from deep-sea fishing and deep processing to cold chain logistics and terminal sales. For example, advanced refrigeration and processing equipment ensures that ocean catches remain fresh from the moment they are caught until they reach consumers' tables, allowing high-quality protein from the deep sea to reach ordinary households.
Sonam Gyaltsen, from Nagqu, Tibet, has participated in the Zhejiang Agricultural Expo for three years. Nagqu is a city supported by Zhejiang Province. Three years ago, with the introduction of the Zhejiang Aid-Tibet Command, he brought his hometown's agricultural specialties, such as cordyceps and yak jerky, to the expo.
"The products sell better every year. This year, the sales on the first day alone reached more than 20,000 yuan," said Sonam Gyaltsen. He added that the Zhejiang Agricultural Expo provides him with an excellent platform to promote his hometown's products and connect with suppliers.
It is reported that since 1999, the Zhejiang Agricultural Expo has been successfully held 26 times, becoming an important window to showcase the achievements of agricultural and rural development in Zhejiang Province, an important platform for showcasing and selling high-quality local specialties, and an important vehicle for promoting farmers' income and common prosperity.
