
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On November 12th, the SIAL Interfood 2025 Jakarta, Indonesia food exhibition officially opened in the capital city of Jakarta. This is one of the largest international exhibitions in Southeast Asia for food, beverages, processing technology, and the hospitality industry, held annually.
According to a report by the Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Jakarta, the SIAL Interfood 2025 Jakarta has attracted more than 1,500 exhibitors from 27 countries and is expected to welcome 90,000 visitors. The exhibition not only provides a platform for international companies to expand their business networks but also has a positive impact on related economic sectors such as hotels, transportation, catering, and local product consumption.
A total of 23 Vietnamese companies are participating in the exhibition, with Ho Chi Minh City supporting 18 companies showcasing their main products, including coffee, nuts, fruit juices, instant rice noodles, and chocolate.
Ho Thi Juan, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Trade and Investment Promotion Center (ITPC), stated that the municipal government is committed to assisting SMEs in promoting their brands and enhancing Vietnam's national image by subsidizing booth fees and assisting with participation procedures.
Napoli Group Chairman Nguyen Duc Hung stated that the company is targeting Indonesia's potentially huge halal market and has already applied for halal certification for its coffee products.
Pham The Cuong, Commercial Counselor of the Vietnamese Embassy in Indonesia, stated that to support Vietnamese companies' participation in the exhibition, the Vietnamese Ministry of Commerce has proactively invited distributors, importers' associations, and chambers of commerce from major Indonesian supermarket chains to visit the Vietnamese exhibition area and directly connect with Vietnamese companies.
On the opening day of the exhibition, the Vietnamese exhibition area attracted the attention of numerous international distributors and retailers. Eric Anggana, representative of Indonesian company Blueray Cargo, said, "Vietnam has many products that perfectly meet the needs of the Indonesian market. I am looking for opportunities to cooperate with Vietnamese companies, such as dried fruits and chocolates, which have excellent flavors and are very popular with Indonesian consumers. Previously, we mainly imported from Malaysia, but in the future, we will likely import from Vietnam."
The 2025 Jakarta Food Exhibition in Indonesia will continue until November 15th. (End)
