It is understood that Yunnan Province has formulated the "Positive and Negative Lists for the Development of Tourism in Yunnan Province," compiled the "Guidelines for Tourism Destination Services in Yunnan (Trial)," and the "Medium- and Long-Term Development Plan for Tourism in Yunnan," strengthening top-level design and systematic planning. The province has also launched two batches of 100 typical tourism cases for promotion throughout the province, refining five development models. The first batch of 26 high-quality development pilot projects for "Tourism in Yunnan" has been launched, with typical examples effectively driving the vigorous development of rural tourism.
As of the end of August, 633 natural villages in Yunnan Province were engaged in tourism and residential tourism, an 11.5-fold increase compared to 2024. 10,543 idle houses were revitalized, and a "company + village collective + farmer" benefit-sharing model was generally established.
Furthermore, Yunnan has achieved significant results in attracting and cultivating business entities. The province has conducted tourism and residential tourism promotion activities in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and other places, developed a "Tourism and Residential Tourism in Yunnan" booking and customization mini-program, promoted the online launch of tourism and residential tourism products on OTA platforms, coordinated with financial institutions to launch financial products such as "Tourism and Residential Tourism Loans," and many leading enterprises have actively participated in the construction of "Tourism and Residential Tourism in Yunnan."
It is reported that Yunnan Province will soon issue the "Special Development Plan for 'Tourism and Residential Tourism in Yunnan' (2025-2030)," providing systematic guidance for the development of tourism and residential tourism in Yunnan over the next five years. (End)
