Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – Haikou Customs announced on the 5th that an Airbus A330-941 aircraft recently cleared customs at Haikou Meilan Airport Customs, with a value of approximately 807 million yuan and tax reductions of approximately 114 million yuan. This is the fourth large aircraft to benefit from the "zero tariff" policy for transportation vehicles and yachts in the Hainan Free Trade Port since its implementation, setting a new record for the highest single-shipment benefit under the policy.
It is understood that before the Hainan Free Trade Port was officially opened, customs exempted enterprises registered in the Hainan Free Trade Port with independent legal person status and engaged in transportation and tourism (airline enterprises must have the Hainan Free Trade Port as their main operating base) from import duties, import value-added tax, and consumption tax on ships, aircraft, vehicles, and yachts used for transportation and tourism.
A relevant person in charge of Hainan Airlines stated that Haikou Meilan Airport Customs guides enterprises to make full use of the Free Trade Port's "zero tariff" policy while supporting enterprises to use integrated customs declaration forms. The direct flight from Toulouse, France to Haikou saves businesses significant time and money, and the aircraft will be put into operation as quickly as possible.
With the Hainan Free Trade Port's official opening approaching, Haikou Meilan Airport Customs, in conjunction with airport units, conducted full-process, full-element real-money testing and drills across multiple business scenarios at the air port to ensure efficient and rigorous customs clearance procedures after the port's official opening. They are also actively promoting and training on Hainan Free Trade Port policies, continuously reducing port clearance time, and contributing to creating a better business environment for Hainan.
