Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) reported that the Tianjin Airport Border Inspection Station officially resumed scheduled international passenger flights between Tianjin and Bangkok, Thailand, on the evening of the 27th, with flight SL992 landing smoothly at Tianjin Binhai International Airport.
This resumed Tianjin-Bangkok route is reportedly the first direct international route from Tianjin to Thailand this year and the only air link currently connecting Tianjin and Thailand. Operated by Thai Lion Air, the route is scheduled to operate four times a week, with round-trip flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
To ensure efficient and smooth customs clearance for passengers on the inaugural flight and subsequent flights, the Tianjin Airport Border Inspection Station made advance preparations and developed a special service support plan. They also proactively communicated with airlines, airports, and other relevant departments to maintain accurate information on flight status and passengers on board. On the day of the flight's arrival, the station strategically deployed on-site police officers and dynamically adjusted inspection channels based on passenger flow, ensuring safe, orderly, and smooth customs clearance at the port.
The Tianjin Airport Border Inspection Station stated that the resumption of this route has established an important air bridge for economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges between Tianjin and Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand. "The launch of direct flights will significantly reduce travel time and costs between the two regions, further promoting in-depth cooperation between Tianjin and Thailand in areas such as trade, investment, and tourism. Furthermore, this route will greatly facilitate travel to Thailand for residents of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, effectively meeting the growing demand for Southeast Asian travel in North China, and will inject new vitality into the friendly exchanges between the peoples of China and Thailand."
