Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the afternoon of October 27th, within the framework of the First Autumn Expo 2025, the Department of Trade Promotion (DTP) of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam held a Vietnam-China Trade Promotion, Investment Cooperation, and Business Matchmaking Exchange Meeting.
DTP Deputy Director Le Hoang Tsai stated in his speech at the meeting that Vietnam-China comprehensive cooperative relations have reached new heights, and the two sides are working together to build a strategically significant Vietnam-China community with a shared future. In the first nine months of 2025, Vietnam's imports and exports to China reached US$184.04 billion, a year-on-year increase of 23%, fully demonstrating the strong momentum of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
Le Hoang Tsai stated that trade promotion is a bridge that helps businesses in both countries narrow gaps and transform potential into tangible cooperation opportunities. Under the guidance of the government, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Council have worked closely with various Chinese institutions, particularly the Shandong Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade, to organize a series of online and offline fairs, exhibitions, and trade matchmaking meetings. These activities not only help Vietnamese businesses expand their partner networks and find sales channels for their products, but also contribute to the diversification of export markets and reduce reliance on traditional markets.
The participating Chinese business delegation consisted of nearly 100 companies, with 47 booths showcasing products across a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing, high-tech, building materials, consumer goods, agricultural products, and handicrafts.
Li Zhenmin, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, believes the 2025 First Autumn Expo is a "pragmatic trade promotion platform" that will help strengthen bilateral cooperation, especially amidst the reshaping of the global supply chain landscape.
Li Zhenmin stated, "China and Vietnam are one of each other's most important economic and trade partners. In 2024, bilateral trade exceeded US$260 billion; in the first nine months of 2025 alone, it reached US$214.5 billion, a year-on-year increase of nearly 13%."
Li Zhenmin emphasized that the 2025 First Autumn Expo is a national-level economic, trade, and cultural event, creating a platform integrating trade, investment, cultural tourism, and innovation, providing a reliable platform for cooperation for regional and global investors and trading partners.
Li Zhenmin emphasized: "The top leaders of the two parties and countries attach great importance to effectively leveraging trade promotion activities, expanding markets, and strengthening practical cooperation." He believes that this is a valuable opportunity for enterprises from both countries to work together to create sustainable and mutually beneficial cooperation projects. (End)
