Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The atmosphere at the 2026 Spring Expo was vibrant, with the joint exhibition area of Hue City, Vietnam, themed "Springtime in the Ancient Capital 2026 – Heritage Imprints," standing out. It showcased both the serene and elegant cultural heritage of the ancient capital and the vibrant energy of its renewed development in the new era, becoming one of the highlights of the expo.
The Hue exhibition area covered approximately 250 square meters, bringing together 23 representative local enterprises and cooperatives. It served not only as a core platform for product display and trade but also as a crucial intersection point for integrating the cultural heritage of the ancient capital with modern development. The exhibition area was clearly laid out and featured numerous highlights:
The welcoming area comprehensively showcased Hue's socio-economic development achievements, resource potential, industrial advantages, investment and trade opportunities, and distinctive cultural tourism resources through videos, publications, and promotional materials, presenting a three-dimensional image of the city's brand. The handicrafts and traditional craft villages exhibition area was imbued with a strong cultural atmosphere, with several artisans and designers demonstrating their creative techniques on-site. From the simple Phuc Jai pottery and the graceful Hue Ao Dai to the exquisite "Golden Branches and Jade Leaves" craftwork, each exhibit embodied the ingenuity of the people of Hue and told a story of profound cultural heritage. The agricultural products, local specialties, and "One Village One Product" (OCOP) exhibition area exuded modern vitality, with exhibits emphasizing traceability, high quality, and regional characteristics. This not only highlighted Hue's green and sustainable development direction but also reflected its active exploration of the integration of the digital economy and the green economy. Phan Quy Phuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City, stated that the core objectives of participating in this exhibition are to strengthen trade promotion, stimulate consumer demand, expand export markets, and promote local specialty products. Simultaneously, it aims to comprehensively showcase Hue's socio-economic development achievements, investment and trade opportunities, and cultural and tourism appeal, further enhancing the city's brand influence and promoting cross-regional trade and cooperation.
In addition to on-site product transactions, Hue exhibitors and artisans actively participated in various conferences, seminars, and trade promotion forums within the expo framework. This allowed them to accurately grasp market dynamics and consumption trends, expand distribution channels, and help local products gradually integrate into the national and even regional production-sales value chain.
Business representatives generally expect that the national-level expo will continue to play a bridging role, connecting the production and market ends, inheriting traditional values, and meeting modern needs, helping Hue products gain a foothold in a broader market. This initiative will also provide solid support for Hue City's implementation of its green economy and digital economy development strategies and international integration plans up to 2030 and 2045.
