Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the morning of December 22, 2025, the 15th Plenary Session of the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) solemnly opened in Hanoi, the capital. This plenary session focused on preparations for the 14th National Congress of the CPV (hereinafter referred to as the "14th CPV Congress"), laying an important foundation for the subsequent congress.
At the opening session in the morning, CPV General Secretary To Lam presided over the meeting and delivered the opening address. CPV Politburo member and President Luong Cuong, on behalf of the Politburo, guided the meeting's proceedings.
Following the opening ceremony, the Central Committee immediately held a closed-door meeting, focusing on providing feedback on improving the "Report of the 13th Central Committee on Personnel Work of the 14th Central Committee." This report will be submitted to the 14th CPV Congress and the first session of the 14th Central Committee for review, providing a basis for the standardized conduct of subsequent elections.
That afternoon, the Central Committee held group discussions to offer suggestions on a series of draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. These included: a political report; a summary report on the theory and practice of Vietnam's 40-year socialist renovation process; a summary report on the implementation of the Party Constitution for 15 years (2011-2025); and suggestions and directions for supplementing and revising the Party Constitution.
