Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – On November 24, Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Hoang Giang met with Kenji Nagao, President of the Matsushita Institute of Government and Management, who was visiting Vietnam, at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Dang Hoang Giang welcomed the Matsushita Institute delegation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and expressed his satisfaction with the significant progress made in Vietnam-Japan relations. He pointed out that since the bilateral relationship was upgraded to a “comprehensive strategic partnership dedicated to peace and prosperity in Asia and the world” in November 2023, cooperation between the two sides has entered a new stage of accelerated development.
Dang Hoang Giang highly praised the Matsushita Institute of Government and Management as a prestigious high-quality educational institution in Japan, which has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents and national leaders for Japan. He also introduced Vietnam's policy orientation of prioritizing the development of high-quality human resources to meet the needs of the country's rapid and sustainable development.
To further the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan across various fields, including educational cooperation, Dang Hoang Giang suggested that the leadership of the Matsushita Institute of Government and Management support the cultivation of high-quality talent in Vietnam through flexible and diverse methods. Specifically, this includes: sending lecturers to Vietnam; providing Vietnamese officials and students with convenient conditions for research and study at the institute; expanding the intake and training of young Vietnamese entrepreneurs, helping them learn from Japanese experience and business models to grow into outstanding business leaders; strengthening exchanges with Vietnamese research and training institutions; and regularly holding thematic seminars and student exchange activities.
Kenji Oseki, President of the Matsushita Institute of Government and Management, stated that the institute's leadership and students pay close attention to Vietnam and deeply admire its outstanding achievements in economic development and foreign relations. He believes that many students in the institute will become important bridges for promoting friendly relations between Vietnam and Japan in the future. In response to the suggestions made by Deputy Minister Dang Hoang Giang, President Oseki stated that he will actively promote exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in the fields of education and high-quality human resource development to further deepen mutual understanding and partnership.
