Vietnam prepares for the opening ceremony of the 2025 Vietnam-India UN peacekeeping bilateral exercise.

  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On November 10th, Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Head of the Inter-Ministerial Working Group, and Deputy Director of the Steering Committee for UN Peacekeeping Operations of the Ministry of National Defense, presided over the rehearsal for the opening ceremony of the Vietnam-India UN Peacekeeping Bilateral Exercise 2025 (VINBAX 2025).

  The exercise is scheduled to be held from November 11th to 27th, 2025, at the National Military Training Center No. 4 in Hanoi. This is a significant and effective activity that will help strengthen Vietnam-India friendship and solidarity and promote defense cooperation between the two countries within the framework of their comprehensive strategic partnership.

  This large-scale live-fire exercise, with complete troop strength and equipment, involves nearly 300 personnel. It focuses on practicing the deployment and mission execution of engineering units combined with medical, rescue, and search and rescue units, aiming to improve the professional capabilities and coordination of the troops to be deployed to UN peacekeeping operations.

  In addition to professional training, VINBAX 2025 also included activities such as protocol, exchanges, sports, cultural performances, and cultural visits, which helped enhance understanding, unity, and friendship among the participants.

  General Phung Si Thanh emphasized that preparations for the opening ceremony must be comprehensive and meticulous, with thorough preparations made for personnel, equipment, uniforms, and command plans. He also requested that all participating units continue to cooperate closely and conduct a final check of all preparations to ensure the solemn and smooth running of the opening ceremony.

  The Vietnam-India UN peacekeeping bilateral exercise is a practical cooperative activity carried out by the Vietnam People's Army and the Indian Army in recent years. This exercise is the sixth bilateral UN peacekeeping exercise between the two militaries and the fourth on-site peacekeeping exercise between them. (End)
