
Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – According to a report by the Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Phnom Penh, at the 7th World Rice Trade Conference recently concluded in Cambodia, Vietnam's ST25 rice and the host country's Phka Romdoul rice jointly won the 2025 "World's Most Fragrant Rice" competition.
Lun Yeng, Secretary General of the Cambodian Rice Federation, stated at the results announcement ceremony for the 2025 "World's Most Fragrant Rice" competition on November 9th that more than 30 rice samples from various countries participated, and ultimately, Cambodia's "Malis Angkor" brand Phka Romdoul rice and Vietnam's ST25 rice jointly won the award.
This marks the third time that "Ông Cua ST25," the rice brand created by labor hero Hồ Quang Cua, has won the title of "World's Most Fragrant Rice," having previously won the international competition in 2019 and 2023.
The 2025 World's Most Fragrant Rice Competition is part of the 7th Global Rice Trade Conference, organized by The Rice Trader, held from November 7th to 9th in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
