Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the 21st, the "Tianma" international freight train, number 75188, loaded with Chinese-made products such as tiles and wooden furniture, departed from Wuwei South Station in Gansu Province, heading west towards Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Hairaton, Afghanistan. This journey continues to expand new logistics routes along the Silk Road, delivering the first "treasure trove" of the new year to overseas merchants.
As an important node on the ancient Silk Road, Wuwei International Land Port is accelerating its transformation from a "transit economy" to an "industrial economy." The local government adheres to the principle of using transportation to drive logistics, logistics to boost industry, and industry to promote openness, continuously weaving a dense international logistics network connecting Central Asia and radiating to Europe, transforming the ancient Silk Road into a golden logistics corridor.
This mixed train consisted of 55 wagons, carrying over 1,300 tons of cargo worth more than 16 million yuan, resembling a galloping "steel camel caravan" heading west. Cao Ke, head of the Wuwei Bonded Logistics Center, said, "The 'Tianma' train not only carries high-quality Chinese manufacturing but also embodies the beautiful vision of economic and trade cooperation with countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative."
Currently, the Wuwei International Land Port's transportation network covers six major corridors, including Central Asia and Central Europe, reaching 46 cities and regions in 22 countries, fully demonstrating the brand value of the "Tianma" train as a "golden route."
To ensure the smooth operation of the Spring Festival trains, the Wuwei International Land Port collaborated with multiple departments. Cao Ke said that Jinchang Customs optimized its supervision processes, the railway department coordinated transport capacity to ensure timeliness, and China Railway Container Lanzhou Branch refined its transportation plans, jointly ensuring the "Tianma" train's regular "weekly" operation during the Spring Festival, providing solid support for the stable operation of the route.
The launch of this international freight mixed train service once again highlights the efficient overseas rail transport capabilities of the Wuwei Bonded Logistics Center. Cao Ke said that the center, relying on its overseas warehouse network, enables Wuwei International Land Port to directly reach traditional hubs and also precisely connect to core cities in Central Asia, making its operations more refined and efficient.
Currently, the "Tianma" freight train covers major trade hubs in the five Central Asian countries, with its route accessibility continuously improving.
The Wuwei International Land Port's Spring Festival special train successfully departed, achieving a "good start" for train services after the Lunar New Year. Cao Ke said that in the future, Wuwei will leverage its advantages as a platform of "two centers, two ports, and one station" to fully develop itself into a leading force in Northwest China's export-oriented economy, allowing the "Tianma" freight train to carry high-quality Chinese manufacturing products and benefit more countries and regions along the New Silk Road.
