Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) June 14 – Most areas of Rong'an County, Liuzhou City, Guangxi Province, experienced continuous heavy to torrential rain. In the past 24 hours, the Rong'an County Meteorological Observatory issued two yellow rainstorm warnings and four orange rainstorm warnings. The heavy rain caused landslides on multiple sections of Provincial Highway 208 in Dajiang Town and Yaoyao Township of Rong'an County, and flooded farmland, bridges, and orchards in low-lying areas. This round of rainfall also caused the water levels of the Rongjiang River and Langxi River, major rivers in Rong'an County, to rise. Rong'an County has instructed on-duty personnel in all townships to closely monitor the disaster situation, and traffic emergency personnel to promptly clear landslide-affected sections and set up warning lines and signs in areas with potential safety hazards to ensure smooth traffic flow. At the same time, local authorities have strengthened safety inspections and reinforcement of reservoirs and dikes, intensified hazard investigations in disaster-prone, flood-prone, and densely populated areas, and implemented traffic management and drainage measures in waterlogged areas, paying attention to the prevention of possible flash floods, landslides, and mudslides.
