Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) On March 26, the People's Committee of Hue City, Vietnam, and Vietnam Railways jointly held a ceremony to unveil the new look of the "Connecting Central Heritage Journey" train, officially announcing the significant decision to designate Hue Railway Station as a tourist attraction, adding new momentum to heritage tourism in central Vietnam.
The "Connecting Central Heritage Journey" train, previously selected as one of the "Nine Most Memorable Tourism Products in Hue in 2024," is a unique transportation link connecting the ancient capital of Hue and the ancient city of Hoi An, two World Heritage sites. This upgrade, with the core concept of **"every carriage is a work of art"**, deeply integrates the historical heritage of Hue and the architectural aesthetics of Hoi An into every detail of the train's design, achieving a perfect fusion of transportation function and cultural experience.
The designation of Hue Railway Station as a tourist attraction will completely reshape its functional positioning: this traditional railway transfer station will be upgraded into an immersive tourist destination integrating historical display, architectural appreciation, and cultural experience, adding a brand-new landmark for tourists embarking on their Central Heritage journey.

The train has undergone a comprehensive upgrade, boasting a new look. The exterior features a distinctive purple paint scheme characteristic of Hue, significantly enhancing its visual appeal. Simultaneously, interior renovations have been implemented: the train comprises 12 carriages with 56 soft-seat seats, all replaced with comfortable 180-degree rotating seats for an enhanced riding experience; the 32 VIP carriages, inspired by the interior design of the Hue palace, create an exclusive space combining a nostalgic atmosphere with luxurious sophistication; and the newly upgraded community carriages offer diverse experiential scenarios, showcasing local brands and products, transforming the journey into a cultural exploration.
As the core of the design, heritage elements from the ancient capitals of Hue and Hoi An are incorporated throughout the train. All carriages are equipped with LED intelligent lighting, a high-quality audio system, and LCD screens, allowing passengers to immerse themselves in Vietnamese cuisine, explore the cultural essence of central Vietnam, and participate in customized activities, achieving a "mobile cultural exhibition hall" experience.
Since its launch, the train has garnered high market recognition. To date, the train has served over 440,000 passengers and operated safely more than 2,800 times. It has become a popular choice for domestic tourists exploring central Vietnam and has also attracted a large number of international tourists, making it a benchmark project for the integration of railway culture and tourism in Vietnam.
With the official unveiling of the train's new image and the establishment of tourist attractions at Hue Railway Station, the appeal of the "Connecting Central Vietnam Heritage Tour" train has been further enhanced. Industry insiders predict that this unique tourism product is expected to become a landmark of heritage tourism in central Vietnam by 2026, continuously driving the development of the regional cultural tourism industry.
