Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On March 20th, Da Nang City, Vietnam, welcomed two major aviation benefits – the simultaneous launch of direct flights from Manila, Philippines to Da Nang, and from Bali, Indonesia to Da Nang. At 3:20 PM and 5:55 PM respectively, two flights carrying passengers successfully arrived at Da Nang International Airport. The Da Nang People's Committee held a special welcoming ceremony, marking a significant breakthrough in the city's expansion of its Southeast Asian regional route network.
Flight Z2824, arriving at 3:20 PM, is operated by Philippine AirAsia and departed from Manila's Ninoy Aquino International Airport, carrying 180 passengers. This route uses Airbus A320 aircraft and operates four times a week, regularly covering Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Two hours and 35 minutes later, at 5:55 PM, Indonesia AirAsia flight QZ480 landed smoothly. This flight, also carrying 180 passengers, departed from Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport and marks the first direct flight connecting Bali and Da Nang. The route also uses an Airbus A320 aircraft, with a weekly schedule of four flights, consistent with the Manila route, facilitating travel planning for passengers.

At the welcoming ceremony, Nguyen Thi Anh Thu, Vice Chairperson of the Da Nang People's Committee, stated that the opening of these two new routes is of great significance in expanding the reach of Da Nang's air network. It will not only significantly shorten regional travel time and improve Da Nang's accessibility to potential markets in Southeast Asia and internationally, but will also strongly promote the in-depth development of tourism, trade, and cultural exchanges within the region.
Jane Runkat, Minister-Counselor at the Indonesian Embassy in Vietnam, added that the demand for personnel exchanges between Vietnam and Indonesia is growing rapidly, with bilateral personnel exchanges exceeding 300,000 and trade reaching US$17.2 billion by 2025. The opening of the Bali-Da Nang direct flight route will inject new momentum into cooperation between the two countries in multiple fields and further deepen bilateral friendly relations.
Industry experts believe that the new route will significantly enhance Da Nang's competitiveness as a popular tourist destination in Southeast Asia, creating broad opportunities for the city to attract more international tourists and expand regional cooperation. (End)
