Hanoi's tourism industry ended stellarly in 2025, with a target of 35.8 million tourist arrivals in 2026.

  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – On December 25th, the Hanoi Tourism Department disclosed that the city's tourism industry received approximately 33.7 million visitors in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 20.87%. Of these, 7.82 million were foreign tourists (a year-on-year increase of 22.76%), and 25.88 million were domestic tourists (a year-on-year increase of 20.32%). Total tourism revenue is projected to exceed VND 134.46 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 21.5%.

  Regarding supporting facilities, Hanoi currently has 3,761 tourist accommodation facilities with 71,256 rooms, including 65 validly rated 1-5 star hotels and apartments (9,963 rooms). 58 establishments have been rated according to tourism service standards, covering catering, shopping, entertainment, and health care. As of December 5th, 2025, the city has 1,932 international travel agencies, 520 domestic travel agencies, and 7 representative offices of foreign travel agencies, employing over 10,000 tour guides.

  In 2025, Hanoi focused on developing diversified tourism products, including cultural tourism and rural tourism. These unique new business models garnered significant attention, and the city won several prestigious international tourism awards, solidifying its leading position as a tourist destination.

  Dang Huong Giang, Director of the Hanoi Tourism Department, stated that the city's tourism target for 2026 is to receive 35.8 million tourists (a 6.2% increase year-on-year), including over 8.6 million foreign tourists (6.1 million overnight visitors, a 10% increase) and 27.2 million domestic tourists (a 5.1% increase). It is understood that Vietnam's national tourism target for 2026 is to receive 25 million foreign tourists and 150 million domestic tourists, generating approximately VND 1125 trillion in tourism revenue.
