According to the latest data from the Nepal Tourism Board, Nepal received 128,443 international tourists in October 2025, marking the highest monthly figure this year.

Statistics show that the number of international tourists to Nepal in October increased by 3.3% compared to the same period in 2024, a significant rebound from September. The Nepalese tourism department believes that the growth is mainly due to the arrival of the autumn trekking season and the gradual recovery of international confidence in Nepal's security situation.

In October, India remained Nepal's largest source of tourists, with 17,298 visitors, accounting for 13.5% of the total; the United States ranked second with 13,286 visitors, accounting for 10.3%; and the United Kingdom ranked third with 8,718 visitors, accounting for 6.8%.

During the same period, the number of tourists from China reached 6,755, a significant rebound from September, an increase of nearly 30%. The number of tourists from Germany, Australia, Sri Lanka, France, Bangladesh, and Myanmar also remained stable.

In the first 10 months of this year, Nepal received 943,716 international tourists, a 0.3% increase compared to the same period last year, recovering to 97.7% of the level in the same period of 2019.

October to December is the traditional peak tourist season in Nepal. (End)
