Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – From December 23 to 26, a delegation from the Communist Party of China (CPC) visited Laos at the invitation of the Lao people. The visit aimed to deepen inter-party exchanges between the two parties and promote practical cooperation. The delegation was led by Xie Chuntao, member of the CPC Central Committee and Executive Vice President of the CPC Central Party School (National Academy of Governance).

As an important component of the 2025 cooperation plan between the two parties, this visit, based on the "four good" spirit of "good neighbors, good friends, good comrades, and good partners," focused on upgrading the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Laos, contributing to the in-depth development of the China-Laos community with a shared future, and systematically sharing with the Lao side the important outcomes of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee held in October.

On December 24, the delegation paid a courtesy call on Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and President of Laos. Thongloun Sisoulith warmly welcomed the delegation and highly praised the significance of the visit and the accompanying thematic lectures, believing that they would inject new impetus into consolidating the traditional friendship and practical cooperation between the two parties, the two countries, and the two peoples. He fully affirmed the positive progress made since the implementation of the overall plan for building a China-Laos community with a shared future, and encouraged relevant departments of both sides to earnestly implement the consensus reached by the two countries' top leaders, continuously deepen the regular exchange mechanism, strengthen mutual learning of experiences in areas such as Party building, national governance, and improving administrative efficiency, further promote cooperation in talent cultivation, and expand social and cultural exchanges and people-to-people friendly exchanges. Thongloun Sisoulith emphasized that the important achievements of the 20th CPC Central Committee's Fourth Plenary Session, such as the "Proposal of the CPC Central Committee on Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development," and China's successful practices in economic and social development, provide valuable lessons for Laos in planning and implementing its national development agenda.

Xie Chuntao expressed his heartfelt gratitude for Thongloun Sisoulith's warm hospitality, and reiterated that the Communist Party of China and the Chinese government are willing to work with Laos to continuously deepen all-round cooperation in various fields and jointly write a new chapter in the development of China-Laos relations. He stated that he would earnestly implement the relevant guidance from Lao Party and state leaders and wished the 12th National Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, to be held in early 2026, a complete success.

During his visit, Xie Chuntao also held working talks with Phouvong Vongkhamsen, President of the Lao National Academy of Politics and Public Administration, and Lao Phatsong Navongxay, Deputy Director of the Propaganda and Training Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee, exchanging in-depth views on strengthening inter-party training cooperation and improving the effectiveness of propaganda and ideological work.

It is understood that the delegation will also travel to Luang Prabang Province to hold a special report meeting on the achievements of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee at the local Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee Office, meet with provincial leaders, and conduct several publicity and exchange activities to further enhance mutual understanding and trust and solidify the public opinion foundation and practical basis for China-Laos inter-party cooperation.
