The Vientiane Bay International Community project broke ground, with China-Laos cooperation empowering urban development

  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On Monday, a milestone was reached in the development of Vientiane's city center – the Gulf International Community project officially broke ground in Nong Duan Noah Village, Si Kothabang District. Located across the street from Faen Park, this large-scale, multi-functional development integrates apartments, a hotel, and mixed-use commercial spaces.

  Project Overview: The project covers a total area of ​​10,288 square meters and is planned to be constructed in two phases. Phase one, with an investment of US$23 million, will feature a 13-story apartment tower with a total construction area of ​​40,888 square meters, comprising 540 residential units ranging in size from 35 to 102 square meters. The main building is expected to be completed in June 2026, with interior decoration finished in December 2026, and the building officially opening in March 2027. The second phase of the project, with an investment of US$25 million, will add a hotel, more apartments, and a comprehensive commercial center, with a total construction area of ​​38,888 square meters. Construction is scheduled to begin in May 2027, be completed in March 2028, and be operational by February 2029.

  Government and Business Representatives Witness the Groundbreaking Ceremony

  The groundbreaking ceremony attracted senior Lao government officials, representatives from the Vientiane municipal government, and project representatives. Lao Deputy Prime Minister Professor Kikhokhampithong and Vientiane Deputy Mayor Phukhong Bannavong were present. The entire team from Gulf Real Estate Co., Ltd. was also present, including Mr. Yue Zhongyao, General Manager representing the Chinese side of the project, and Ms. Ningwanna Victhivongsak, General Manager representing the Lao partner.

  Multiple Statements Demonstrate Confidence and Value

  Ms. Ningwanna Victhivongsak stated at the ceremony that the project reflects the company's long-term optimism about Vientiane's economic potential and its firm commitment to the city's transformation and development. The project's preliminary work proceeded efficiently and systematically. A feasibility study was initiated in 2023, and an investment agreement was formally signed with the Vientiane Municipal Government on December 24, 2024.

  Vientiane Deputy Mayor Phuchong Bannavong, representing the Vientiane Municipal Government, emphasized that the Gulf International Community is an important manifestation of the strategic partnership between the Chinese and Lao governments. Upon completion, the project will provide strong support for Vientiane to expand its investment scale, create jobs, and improve the quality of life for its citizens, while also helping to shape a more modern urban image for the city center.

  The ceremony was simple yet solemn. The groundbreaking ceremony began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a group photo of the guests, witnessing the crucial moment of the groundbreaking. Finally, attendees visited the Sikhotapang District Development Exhibition Facilities to gain a deeper understanding of the regional development plan and the project's supporting environment.
