This marks the first time a China-Laos-Thailand freight train has operated on a full timetable from Chongqing, and it will subsequently run at a fixed frequency of two trains per week.

At the 2025 New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor Economic Development Forum, which opened on the 13th, China State Railway Group officially released the first full timetable for the China-Laos-Thailand freight trains, and the first such train departed from Chongqing on the same day.

This newly launched China-Laos-Thailand freight train, on the full timetable, originates from Chongqing Tuanjie Village Central Station, passes through the Mohan Port, Boten Port, and Nangka Port, and terminates at Madaphu Station in Thailand. Initially, it will run twice a week, departing from Chongqing Tuanjie Village Central Station at 12:49 PM, covering a distance of 2921 kilometers in 95 hours and 11 minutes.

The release of the full timetable for the China-Laos-Thailand freight train marks a significant step towards a more efficient and diversified "ASEAN Express" service. Operating the China-Laos-Thailand freight train with fixed times, routes, and schedules will provide foreign trade enterprises with higher-quality cross-border transportation guarantees.

Yang Bin, Chairman of China Railway Container Transport Co., Ltd., said, "This freight train service is not only a result of close cooperation among the three parties involved in the China-Laos-Thailand railway project, but also a vivid example of the high-quality construction of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor. The operation of this train will inject strong momentum into promoting economic and trade exchanges between China, Laos, and Thailand."
