  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) reports that Vang Vieng District in Vientiane Province aims to attract 2 million domestic and international tourists by 2025, generating an estimated 1.7 trillion Lao Kip in revenue for the entire society.

  Asayasay Manivan, Director of the Vang Vieng District Information, Culture and Tourism Office, stated, “To achieve this goal, the Vang Vieng District government and relevant parties must focus on promoting and organizing tourism activities through various district-level festivals, such as the Sweet Orange Festival, the Nang Sangkhan competition during the Lao New Year, and other traditional festivals within the district. Furthermore, it is necessary to improve roads leading to various tourist attractions, upgrade roads within the district, raise the standards of accommodation facilities, and upgrade the services of each business unit to continuously improve standards.”

  Currently, Vang Vieng is ready to welcome domestic and international guests, including hotels capable of accommodating over 13,000 guests daily, 36 natural tourist attractions, and 24… There are numerous travel companies and many activities available, such as kayaking, canoeing, longtail boating, zip-lining, rock climbing, viewpoints, hot air ballooning, paragliding, and car rentals.

  In 2024, Vang Vieng District received 1,460,159 tourists, of whom 662,552 were women and 777,698 were domestic tourists, generating over 1.241 billion kip in revenue for the district (an average of 850,000 kip per tourist).
