  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – On October 11 local time, Premier Li Qiang met with Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and President of Laos, at the Presidential Palace in Laos.

  Li Qiang first conveyed the cordial greetings of General Secretary Xi Jinping and President Thongloun Sisoulith to General Secretary Thongloun Sisoulith and President Thongloun Sisoulith, and congratulated Laos on the successful hosting of the series of East Asia Cooperation Leaders' Meetings. Li Qiang stated that China and Laos are socialist comrades and brothers. For more than 60 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the relations between the two parties and countries have withstood the test of changing international circumstances and continue to radiate new vitality. General Secretary Xi Jinping and General Secretary Thongloun Sisoulith have maintained close strategic communication, steering the course for building a China-Laos community with a shared future in the new era. China has always placed the development of relations with Laos in a special and important position in China's neighborhood diplomacy, and is willing to work with Laos to follow the strategic guidance of the top leaders of the two parties and countries, deepen political mutual trust, strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation, and jointly build a high-standard, high-quality, and high-level China-Laos community with a shared future, bringing more benefits to the people of both countries.

  Li Qiang pointed out that China firmly supports Laos in pursuing a socialist path suited to its national conditions and is willing to continue to provide firm mutual support on issues involving each other's core interests and major concerns. Both sides should accelerate the implementation of the new action plan for building a China-Laos community with a shared future, continuously promote the alignment of the Belt and Road Initiative with Laos' strategy of transforming itself from a landlocked to a land-linked country, expand pragmatic cooperation in trade, investment, production capacity, electricity, mining, and other fields, further tap potential, leverage the driving effect of the China-Laos Railway, and promote more tangible results in all-round cooperation between China and Laos. China is willing to expand cultural, tourism, educational, and other people-to-people exchanges and cooperation with Laos, continuously enhance mutual understanding and friendship, and lay a more solid foundation of public opinion for deepening cooperation between the two countries.

  Thongloun asked Li Qiang to convey his sincere greetings to General Secretary Xi Jinping and President Thongloun, congratulate the successful convening of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and congratulate the People's Republic of China on its 75th anniversary. Thongloun stated that under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, China has achieved remarkable historical development achievements and its international influence has continued to rise, which Laos highly appreciates. The Lao Party, government, and people have always regarded China as an inseparable good neighbor, good friend, good comrade, and good partner. Laos will firmly adhere to the one-China principle, resolutely support China in safeguarding its core interests on issues related to Taiwan, Xinjiang, and Hong Kong, and firmly support the three major global initiatives.
