A serious fire occurred in Por Sen Chey district, Phnom Penh.

  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the evening of February 14th, a serious fire broke out in Sangkat Chon Chau 2, Por Sen Chey District, Phnom Penh. The fire completely destroyed three houses, and two firefighters were injured during the firefighting operation.

  The fire started at approximately 8:30 PM in a residential area on Chon Chau Boulevard (formerly Yong Sheng Road). According to nearby villagers, they witnessed a short circuit in a utility pole next to the affected house before the fire broke out, with sparks quickly igniting nearby power lines.

  After the fire broke out, residents immediately tried to extinguish it with fire extinguishers. However, due to the wind, the fire spread rapidly, quickly engulfing surrounding buildings. Unable to control the fire themselves, residents called the police for help.

  Upon receiving the call, the local fire department quickly dispatched multiple fire trucks to the scene to carry out firefighting operations. During the intense firefighting efforts, two firefighters bravely entered the burning building and were injured. The injured have been taken to the hospital for treatment, and the fire has been completely extinguished.

  Preliminary statistics indicate that the fire severely damaged three residences. Fortunately, apart from two firefighters sustaining minor injuries, no other casualties have been reported.

  The Por Sen Chey District Police have cordoned off the fire scene, and relevant technical departments are conducting further investigations into the exact cause of the fire and the extent of property damage.
