Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Ministry of Finance, the General Administration of Customs, and the State Taxation Administration recently issued a notice clarifying the preferential import tax policies to support the development of science popularization during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
The notice states that from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2030, science popularization films and television programs imported by science museums, natural history museums, and other science popularization units, as well as science popularization instruments and equipment that cannot be produced domestically or whose performance cannot meet their needs, will be exempt from import duties and import-related value-added tax.
