According to reports, this branch camp, themed "Youth Going to the New City, Working Together to Paint a Beautiful Landscape," was jointly organized by the Hebei Provincial Federation of Taiwan Compatriots and the Tianjin Municipal Federation of Taiwan Compatriots. It attracted 39 young students from 13 universities in Taiwan to cross the strait and gather in Tianjin and Hebei.

At the opening ceremony, Chen Ying, Vice President of the Hebei Provincial Federation of Taiwan Compatriots, stated that the collaboration with the Tianjin Municipal Federation of Taiwan Compatriots in organizing this branch camp aims to connect the cultural heritage of Hebei and Tianjin through cultural tourism, and to build a broad platform for exchange between young people from both sides of the strait.

Li Fangzhen, a second-level researcher from the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Division of the United Front Work Department of the Hebei Provincial Committee, introduced Hebei's geographical advantages, cultural heritage, and development opportunities. From the profound cultural heritage of Hebei and its dazzling World Cultural Heritage to the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the construction of the Xiong'an New Area, she gave the young Taiwanese compatriots a more comprehensive understanding of this land and extended a sincere invitation to them to study, pursue their dreams, and achieve their aspirations.

On the opening day, the campers climbed the Great Wall at Dajingmen to experience the spirit of the Great Wall, explored the cultural heritage of Hebei at the Zhangjiakou Museum, and experienced the charm of Weixian paper-cutting, an intangible cultural heritage. They will later visit the National Ski Jumping Center's "Snow Ruyi," go to the Chengde Mountain Resort to appreciate the historical heritage of multi-ethnic integration, and travel to Tianjin to savor the cultural charm of Tianjin.

It is reported that the All-China Federation of Taiwan Compatriots' Winter Camp for Young Taiwanese Compatriots was founded in 1989 and has been successfully held 31 times, attracting more than 9,000 young Taiwanese compatriots to participate. (End)
