Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On January 6th, the number of passengers traveling between Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau via the Zhuhai Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge officially surpassed 100 million. The bustling Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge is a vivid reflection of the concerted efforts and integrated development of the three regions.

The completion of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge has reduced the travel time between Hong Kong and Zhuhai/Macau from 3 hours to approximately 45 minutes, significantly shortening the spatial and temporal distance between the three places. With the further acceleration of the two-way travel between residents of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau in recent years, the number of inbound and outbound passengers via the Zhuhai Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge has seen a rapid increase.

According to statistics from the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge Border Inspection Station of the Zhuhai Border Inspection General Station, it took more than five years for the number of inbound and outbound passengers to surpass the first 50 million, while it took only about one year and eight months to surpass the second 50 million. In 2025, the number of passengers entering and leaving the country through ports will reach 31.34 million, exceeding 30 million in a single calendar year for the first time, representing an increase of over 140% compared to 2019.
