The fastest journey from Hefei West Station to Sixian East Station will take 1 hour and 18 minutes, providing a new convenient and fast passenger transport corridor between Hefei and eastern Anhui Province.
The Hefei-Xinyi High-Speed Railway starts from Hefei West Station in Shushan District, Hefei City, Anhui Province, passing through Chuzhou City, Bengbu City, and Suzhou City in Anhui Province, and Suqian City and Xuzhou City in Jiangsu Province, before connecting to Xinyi East Station in Xinyi City, Xuzhou. The line is approximately 335 kilometers long, with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. Construction is being carried out in sections; the Hefei-Sixian section is opening now, while the remaining sections are under construction.
In the initial stage of operation, the railway department will arrange passenger trains according to the daily schedule, with a maximum of 10 high-speed trains operating daily. The fastest travel times from Hefei West to Dingyuan East, Mingguang West, Wuhe, and Sixian East are 32 minutes, 46 minutes, 61 minutes, and 78 minutes respectively.
The Hefei-Xinyang High-Speed Railway (Hefei-Sixian section) connects to the Hefei transportation hub via Hefei West Station, thus integrating into the national high-speed rail network. After its completion and opening, Mingguang, Wuhe, and Sixian counties will enter the high-speed rail era, further improving the regional road network structure, facilitating travel for people along the route, and playing a significant role in promoting the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta integration.
