At approximately 10:28, astronaut Zhang Lu opened the hatch of the Tianhe spacecraft and exited the spacecraft. Wu Fei, at the hatch, transferred relevant equipment and tools to Zhang Lu, who was working outside the spacecraft, and assisted in equipment inspection. The red and blue ribboned EVA suits worn by the two astronauts, designated D and E, were used for the first time during an EVA. At 13:19, astronaut Zhang Lu moved to the vicinity of the Shenzhou-20 return capsule window using the robotic arm to inspect and photograph damaged areas.

At approximately 15:30, astronaut Wu Fei exited the spacecraft and worked collaboratively with Zhang Lu. During this time, astronaut Zhang Hongzhang provided support from inside the Tianhe core module. With the cooperation and support of the space station's robotic arm and ground researchers, the astronauts successfully completed tasks such as inspecting and photographing the windows of the Shenzhou-20 spacecraft's return capsule, installing the space station's space debris protection device, and replacing the multi-layer cover of the temperature control adapter.
