Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Third Global South Think Tank Dialogue, themed "Unity and Self-Reliance: The Responsibility and Actions of the Global South," was held in Shanghai on the 4th. Approximately 350 representatives from over 120 countries, including political party leaders and think tank scholars, attended the meeting.
Chen Jining, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Committee, stated that Shanghai is following the strategic deployment of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, adhering to high-quality development, prioritizing the people, and expanding high-level opening-up, striving to fully leverage its leading and exemplary role in advancing Chinese-style modernization. Shanghai is willing to better play its local role, providing strong support to Global South countries in economic cooperation, fostering mutual understanding and friendship through cultural exchanges, and jointly moving towards modernization through mutual achievements.
Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, stated that the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee once again outlined a bright future for win-win cooperation between China and the world. China has always been a staunch advocate, supporter, and promoter of the Global South's unity and self-reliance, and is willing to work with Global South countries to jointly implement the four global initiatives, achieve common prosperity, safeguard lasting peace, maintain diversity and harmony, and promote world governance. Zambian guests, including Vice President Nalumango of the United Party for National Development and Vice President of Zambia, stated that the blueprint for China's development outlined at the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee provides valuable insights and cooperation opportunities for countries in the Global South. They expressed their willingness to work with China to promote common modernization and the reform of the global governance system, jointly creating a peaceful, secure, prosperous, and sustainable future.
