Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – Giant pandas "Chenxing" and "Xiaoyue" arrived in Malaysia on the evening of the 18th, marking the start of a new 10-year collaborative research and conservation effort between China and Malaysia.

Minister Zheng Xuefang of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia and relevant Malaysian officials welcomed the pair of friendly envoys at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, where they were greeted with a grand water salute.

That evening, at the side gate of the National Zoo of Malaysia, where the pandas were scheduled to arrive, local panda fans of various ethnicities gathered early. One fan, Chen Liping, told reporters that many locals had become panda fans during the previous stays of "Fuwa" and "Fengyi" in Malaysia, forging deep friendships through the pandas. After "Fuwa" and "Fengyi" returned to China, they even organized a group to visit them. A Malay woman named Mas also told reporters that she was very excited to finally see the new pandas arrive in Malaysia after months of separation from "Fuwa" and "Fengyi."

Chen Liping also said that the shared love for pandas has allowed Malaysian panda "fans" to make many Chinese friends. Today, she was entrusted to share the video of "Chenxing" and "Xiaoyue" arriving at the zoo with Chinese friends as soon as possible. "Giant pandas are truly ambassadors of friendship."

At approximately 11:30 PM that night, "Chenxing" and "Xiaoyue" finally arrived at the quarantine area of the National Zoo of Malaysia. Staff told reporters that the National Zoo had prepared five spacious quarantine rooms for "Chenxing" and "Xiaoyue" as their activity area during their quarantine period. Reporters observed that each of the five rooms was uniquely furnished; some had fresh bamboo on the floor, while others provided the pandas with relaxation nets. Instruments were also available at the entrances of the quarantine rooms to monitor temperature and humidity.

Even though it was late at night, staff were still busy caring for the two "guests" after they entered their quarantine rooms. It is reported that the pair of giant pandas will meet the public as soon as their quarantine period ends. (End)
