Xiamen Port saw over 5 million inbound and outbound passengers this year, with a record number of foreign passengers.

  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Gaoqi Border Inspection Station of the Xiamen Border Inspection General Station disclosed that on the evening of October 31, the number of inbound and outbound passengers at Xiamen Port this year exceeded 5 million, surpassing this milestone 55 days earlier than last year.

  Since 2025, the number of inbound and outbound passengers at Xiamen Port has continued to climb. As of October 31, a total of over 860,000 foreign passengers from 196 countries have passed through Xiamen Port this year, setting a new record for the same period. Among them, more than 230,000 foreign passengers entered visa-free, accounting for nearly 70% of all inbound foreign passengers.

  Shen Wenjuan, Director of the Border Inspection Department of the Gaoqi Border Inspection Station, introduced that among the foreign passengers entering this year, those coming to China for tourism, sightseeing, or visiting relatives and friends accounted for over 60%. In terms of the countries of origin and destination, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore were the most numerous.

  Regarding cross-strait exchanges, as of October 31, the Gaoqi Border Inspection Station had processed over 1.78 million passengers this year via the "Three Links" (direct trade, postal, and transportation links), exceeding the total number for the entire previous year.

  The Xiamen-Kinmen "Mini Three Links" passenger route, a "golden channel" for cross-strait maritime exchanges, has seen nearly 1.42 million inbound and outbound passengers this year, breaking the single-day passenger flow record three times, reaching a peak of 7,000 passengers. (End)
