The 2026 Demand Catalog for High-Level and Urgently Needed Talents in Northeast Chongqing Districts and Counties was released at the opening ceremony. A total of 171 employers, including research institutes, medical and health institutions, enterprises, public institutions, and universities in Northeast Chongqing Districts and Counties, offered 418 positions, requiring 1,056 talents.
It is understood that the 3rd Chongqing Three Gorges Talent Festival, as a special event of the Chongqing International Talent Exchange Conference, was hosted by the Wanzhou District Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Wanzhou District People's Government of Chongqing Municipality, and co-organized by the Party committees and governments of Kaizhou District, Liangping District, Chengkou County, and other districts and counties in Northeast Chongqing Municipality. Several other activities were held concurrently, including a seminar on high-quality development of the advanced materials industry, a seminar on technological innovation empowering high-quality development of future industries, and a seminar on high-quality development of modern agriculture in the Three Gorges Reservoir area.
"In recent years, Wanzhou has collaborated with other districts and counties in northeastern Chongqing to deepen regional talent development, holding two consecutive Chongqing Three Gorges Talent Festivals, signing 122 talent projects, and attracting over 6,000 talents," said Li Qing, Deputy Secretary of the Wanzhou District Committee and District Mayor. He added that this year's talent festival, themed "Gathering Talent in the Three Gorges, Empowering Major Industries, and Serving Major Development," aims to achieve full-chain coverage from talent introduction and cultivation to utilization and incentives, striving to transform its talent resources into a core driving force and decisive advantage for regional development.
He Xian, President of the China Talent Research Association, stated that Wanzhou, as an important sub-center of Chongqing and a gateway to the east for the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, should play a more important role in regional development through talent work, taking the lead in "precise matching of industry and talent," creating a model for "regional collaborative talent attraction," and increasing efforts in "optimizing the talent ecosystem."
"In recent years, the Chongqing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau has attached great importance to the development of talent in the Three Gorges Reservoir area of Northeast Chongqing, making every effort to build talent development platforms and optimize the talent policy system," said Su Jing, a member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Chongqing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. She added that the bureau will continue to support the high-quality development of talent in Northeast Chongqing, focusing on "industry-talent integration" to activate new engines of development, "platform empowerment" to cultivate new advantages in talent cultivation, and "building a nest to attract phoenixes" to optimize the new talent ecosystem.
Furthermore, to further promote collaborative talent development, some universities in Chongqing signed strategic cooperation agreements with the governments of districts and counties in Northeast Chongqing; JD.com signed a framework agreement for cooperation on the domestic service human resources supply chain with the governments of districts and counties in Northeast Chongqing; and relevant universities and research institutes signed cooperation agreements with the Wanzhou District Government and some key enterprises.
