  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – During his meeting with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Song Kim Dae, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos reiterated the Philippines' commitment to strengthening relations with Cambodia and emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation within ASEAN.

  President Marcos noted during the meeting that the long-standing friendly relations between the Philippines and Cambodia are worth cherishing and expressed optimism about further strengthening bilateral ties. He stated, “I hope we can continue to maintain this relationship. We will nurture this relationship and continue to improve our friendly relations built over many years.”

  Furthermore, Marcos stressed that the Philippines will continue to build partnerships and cooperation with other allies around the world, highlighting the importance of multilateral diplomacy in addressing global challenges.

  It is worth mentioning that this was Deputy Prime Minister Song Kim Dae's first formal bilateral contact with a Philippine president in his capacity as Cambodian Foreign Minister. The main purpose of the visit was to co-chair the fourth meeting of the Cambodia-Philippines Joint Committee on Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC).
