Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the 13th, Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade, in conjunction with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, various departments, and relevant localities, held a showcase of Vietnamese specialty agricultural products exported to China in Hanoi. Sixteen Vietnamese enterprises participated, showcasing 50 high-quality product groups from the North, Central, and South.
According to reporters, the showcase featured a variety of products that meet the preferences and demands of the Chinese market and satisfy its food safety and hygiene requirements. These included popular products among Chinese consumers such as coffee, tea, durian, bananas, dairy products, and bird's nest. The showcase also introduced products with significant supply potential, such as fresh coconuts and frozen durian.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and China is showing a positive development momentum, bringing tangible benefits to both sides. Bilateral trade and economic cooperation has deepened and yielded many important results. One of the key priorities for trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and China is to continue efforts to maintain a stable, balanced, and sustainable development momentum; and to actively promote the early completion of procedures to allow more of Vietnam's advantageous products to be exported to China.
Recently, China has been identified as Vietnam's largest export market for agricultural, forestry, and fishery products. In the first nine months of 2024, Vietnam's agricultural, forestry, and fishery product exports to China reached US$9.26 billion, of which fruit and vegetable exports reached US$3.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of 36%. Based on this result, China remained Vietnam's largest export market for fruits and vegetables in the first nine months of this year. To date, 14 types of Vietnamese agricultural products have been legally exported to China. Vietnamese durian and dragon fruit are particularly popular with Chinese consumers, and imports of these products from Vietnam account for one-fifth of total agricultural product imports from ASEAN.
The Vietnam Specialty Agricultural Products Exhibition for China provides Vietnamese producers and suppliers with an excellent opportunity to promote their specialty agricultural products and brands, meet and find customers, strengthen exchanges with potential Chinese fruit and vegetable import partners, and establish sustainable cooperative relationships.
