The two sides engaged in in-depth and fruitful exchanges on core issues such as deepening bilateral traditional friendship, expanding diversified investment cooperation, and linking trade and economic activities to the 2026 Organization of the Francophonie (OIF) Summit, laying an important foundation for upgrading Cambodian-French economic and trade cooperation.

  During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Sun Zhantuo highlighted Cambodia's investment advantages and cooperation potential. He stated that Cambodia's current Investment Law framework provides a series of preferential policies, which, combined with the country's advantageous geographical location and numerous international trade preferences, will provide an efficient platform for large French enterprises to expand into regional and international markets. Sun Zhantuo emphasized that the friendship between Cambodia and France has a long history and has continued to deepen over decades. The Cambodian government and people sincerely thank France for its long-term unwavering support and valuable assistance in the country's socio-economic development.

  French Ambassador to Cambodia, Olivier Richard, expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm reception from the Cambodian side and focused on the important opportunity of Cambodia hosting the 20th Organization of the Francophonie (OIF) Summit at the end of 2026, introducing France's preparatory plans. He revealed that France is actively promoting trade promotion and business matchmaking activities to accompany the summit, aiming to use this international event as a link to further strengthen economic ties and pragmatic cooperation among Francophonie countries.
