Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) On the morning of March 12th, the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade officially held an opening ceremony for its digital platform for expanding overseas markets. Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son attended the ceremony and delivered a guiding speech, emphasizing that the platform is a key measure in Vietnam's digital transformation of trade and must be implemented in a standardized and efficient manner to truly leverage its empowering role.

In his speech, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son pointed out that the core objective of building an integrated digital platform is to break down information barriers between Vietnam's overseas trade offices, domestic management agencies, and businesses, focusing on three core tasks: First, to improve the efficiency of international trade management and regulation. By collecting, analyzing, and sharing trade data in real time, it helps national management departments accurately grasp market dynamics, predict trade trends, and identify trade risks and barriers early, providing crucial support for rapid and scientific decision-making by the government and various levels of departments; Second, to strengthen enterprises' ability to expand into overseas markets. Leveraging the network resources of Vietnam's 64 overseas trade offices, a unified, efficient, transparent, and forward-looking national trade information system will be built through a digital platform to achieve interconnectivity. This will improve trade promotion efficiency, attract foreign investment, connect global supply chains, and promote Vietnam's deeper integration into the international economy. Thirdly, it will solidify the foundation for international economic integration and build a digital bridge for cross-border cooperation in multiple fields.

Regarding the platform's future development, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son made specific requirements: the Ministry of Industry and Trade must continuously promote the platform's modernization and user-friendliness, ensuring data interconnection, sharing, and network security; deepen the application of new technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data analysis, and cloud computing to enhance market forecasting and decision-making capabilities; and retain and optimize the regular trade promotion briefing mechanism with overseas trade offices, industry associations, and enterprises to create online and offline synergy. He also called on ministries, local governments, industry associations, and enterprises to actively participate in the platform's construction and contribute data resources, using it as a core tool for obtaining market information, enhancing competitiveness, and expanding exports. Bui Thanh Son emphasized that the government will fully support the digital transformation of the trade and economic sector, helping Vietnam achieve double-digit economic growth and sustainable development goals.

At the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang stated that the digital platform is an important step for Vietnam in innovating its trade management model and promoting the deep integration of digital technology and market development. The platform will bring tangible value to all parties after it becomes operational. The Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to upgrade the platform's intelligence and modernization as required, focusing on strengthening data control functions and deepening the application of new technologies to provide strong support for market expansion and policy planning.
